I’ve been playing my Benedetto guitar for nearly five years now. It’s the best instrument I’ve ever owned, and seems to keep getting better with more use. Over 1,000 performances with this guitar have proven that it was a very wise investment. The masterful craftsmanship and superb tone and playability have me convinced I couldn’t have made a better choice.
In February of 2014 my family and I visited the Benedetto factory in Savannah, Georgia to have some work done on my guitar. Bob and Cindy Benedetto met us upon arrival, and couldn’t have been more hospitable and accommodating to us all during our visit. I got to play a good bit for Bob, and he did an amazing job setting up my guitar to a point where it was playing better than ever. The next day, I received an email asking if I would like to be featured on their website as a Benedetto Player. I happily agreed.
Less than a month later, I received an email from Ed Benson, chief editor of Just Jazz Guitar magazine, asking if I’d be interested in doing an interview for their upcoming 20th Anniversary issue. Bob Benedetto and Ed Benson are long-time friends, and I had come up in a recent conversation. Having read the publication for years, I tried my best to contain my excitement, and agreed to do it. Many of my musical heroes have had interviews and features in the magazine over the years, and I’m extremely honored to be a part it.
The interview is in the November 2014 issue, and I hope you’ll check it out.
With the launch of the new website, joining the ranks of the Benedetto Players, the article in Just Jazz Guitar, and the packed schedule I’ve thankfully been able to maintain, 2014 has been a full year. 2015 is now on the horizon, and I anticipate many more good things to come.
